Coming to addiction treatment can be a tough and often overwhelming decision, and it’s natural to feel uncertain about what lies ahead. We want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this process alone. Our team is here to answer any questions you may have and to provide clear, compassionate guidance about what you can expect from treatment. To make things easier, we’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions and answers, giving you helpful information up front and helping ease some of the unknowns. From the first phone call to your arrival and throughout your stay, we’ll walk with you every step of the way, ensuring you feel supported, informed, and reassured as you take this important step toward healing.

Preparing to Come to Treatment

Yes. Personal electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, music players, and blue tooth headphones are allowed. Personal wearable devices such as smart rings, smart watches, smart glasses, and other similar devices are not permitted without a doctor’s order. Use is permitted but limited under certain circumstances.

Yes. EOSIS Cedar Ridge has designated smoking areas. You can smoke between group hours as well as before or after daily group hours. Smoking is not allowed overnight during curfew hours. Vaping is permitted but only a limited amount of non-fillable, non-rechargeable, disposable vapes are allowed.

We allow service animals with the appropriate paperwork. Animal support animals are not allowed.

We provide medication assisted treatments to ease the discomfort of withdrawal and to ease cravings. If you are medically compromised, we may have you detox at one of our Gateway Recovery centers before coming to treatment. That will be determined during your intake process.

What to Expect Once You're Here

Yes. Visitors must be supportive of sobriety and be approved by your counselor. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-7pm and Sunday from 12-2pm. You can have up to 4 adult visitors per day, but only 2 can be here at a time. For example, if you have 4 people that want to visit on Tuesday, 2 of them can come from 5-6, and the other two can come from 6-7.

Yes. EOSIS Cedar Ridge offers co-occurring mental health services provided by a MN Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. You may also choose to get mental health services through local community mental health providers.

We do not allow passes; however, exceptions can be made for the funeral of a family member or similar situations. We do not allow overnight passes. We do need to search everyone returning from a pass.

Bonfires on the weekends, walks, volleyball, frisbee golf, kick ball games, corn hole tournaments, weight room and fitness area, slip and slide and sprinklers, basketball court, and friendly relays and competitions.

We offer daily snacks and coffee is available all day. We also have snack and beverage machines on site and a store where you can earn treatment bucks to purchase snacks and beverages.

We offer three meals a day which are prepared on-site, as well as regular cook-out days or holiday meals (i.e. 4th of July grill-out) and we also do weekly weekend pizza runs. We do accommodate dietary restrictions. 

Groups and individual sessions are about an hour. You will start out with 30 hours of clinical programming per week. But as your recovery progresses, you may attend fewer hours of group.

Most rooms have 2 people but some have 3. The bedrooms are very spacious. We also have community bathrooms with multiple toilets and shower stalls.

We go off site weekly (NA/AA) and we rotate this between meetings in the cities, and meetings locally to include a weekly outdoor bonfire open meeting. You are not required to attend.

You may have appointments for individual therapy or continuing care once you are discharged. We will connect you with the appropriate community resource to continue your recovery journey.

It depends on many factors but the primary factor is based how you’re progressing in your recovery program. Plan for four weeks but you could discharge sooner or need to stay longer.
