Testimonials

“I came into the medium intensity residential program after a relapse in a low intensity facility. The combination of groups and mental health services helped me fill the void I had been missing after my prior treatment. I came here wanting to fast track right back out the door, and in the end didn’t really want to leave. It took some personal growth, willingness and the need to be open to change for me. But once I was able to do that, Anchorage and its staff truly offered what I deeply needed to succeed. I am blessed to have had this opportunity and experience.”

-Thomas

“I never would have made it through without the help of God, and the incredible staff at Anchorage. If this would have been my first treatment facility that I had ever been into, I would have gotten it right the first time and there wouldn’t have been a second. I will cherish the things I’ve learned here for the rest of my life.”

-Edward

“To all the beloved staff at Anchorage, you have all become a very big part of my life. You made it possible for me to learn and grow while remaining the same unique individual I arrived as. For that I give you endless thanks. Every single person on your staff and administration facilitated my growth and worked to keep me safe and comfortable at all times. My needs were always met. My concerns were heard and addressed. I was allowed to be upset, content, happy, sad and frustrated and through all feelings I was ushered towards healthy ways to process and act- or not act- appropriately. I am forever grateful for each and every one of you.”

-Jason

“I have nothing but great things to say about Anchorage. The staff is amazing, very helpful and supportive. I wanted to leave multiple times, but they never gave up on me and I’m so grateful they didn’t. They didn’t give up easily on anyone. I’ve learned so much about myself, my addiction, and how to cope with it. It’s not a ‘surface level’ program, it digs deep into addiction so we can fully understand it. They focus on the clients individually and make a plan for your own recovery. Everyone’s story and addictions are different. It’s very personal and involved. They truly care and want you to succeed. You’re not just a number on the board. The counselors are incredible. I can say that Anchorage saved my life.”

-Kaylie

“My story is more like a miracle. Anchorage saved my life, giving me another chance at living life on life’s terms, clean and sober. Helping me refill my toolbox; reconnecting with my higher power, coping skills, loving myself, accepting the emotions that come with everyday living & HOPE! I have my soul back and I am determined to fight daily to continue to live a healthy life. I’m forever grateful for this place and all the staff, you truly saved my life!”

“Where do I begin? This has been a tremendous experience!! It was exactly what I needed and was looking for. The atmosphere at Anchorage is kind of dorm-like, men and women sharing space, meals and experiences. The support was amazing. We all know how addiction feels and what it has done to us and why we want to leave it behind. The staff is wonderful, group sessions very intense and helpful. You learn not only about facts and deadly consequences of our disease, but also you get an intimate look at how others have been impacted by the stories they share. I would urge anyone who feels on the brink to check out this place. Come for the food, stay for the RECOVERY!”

-Diane

“I’m a 30 year alcoholic and have been to several treatment centers in the past. I’ve learned about many tools but something was still missing. I came to Anchorage out of desperation. The counselors came together as a team to help me put all those tools together and I feel the best I’ve ever felt about what my future holds for me. I would recommend this center to anyone looking to better their life without drugs or alcohol”
