Coming to addiction treatment can be a tough and often overwhelming decision, and it’s natural to feel uncertain about what lies ahead. We want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this process alone. Our team is here to answer any questions you may have and to provide clear, compassionate guidance about what you can expect from treatment. To make things easier, we’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions and answers, giving you helpful information up front and helping ease some of the unknowns. From the first phone call to your arrival and throughout your stay, we’ll walk with you every step of the way, ensuring you feel supported, informed, and reassured as you take this important step toward healing.

Preparing to Come to Treatment

Yes. Personal electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, music players, and blue tooth headphones are allowed. Personal wearable devices such as smart rings, smart watches, smart glasses, and other similar devices are not permitted without a doctor’s order. Use is permitted but limited under certain circumstances.

Yes. EOSIS Meadow Creek has designated smoking areas. You can smoke between group hours as well as before or after daily group hours. Smoking is not allowed overnight during curfew hours. Vaping is permitted but only a limited amount of non-fillable, non-rechargeable, disposable vapes are allowed.

Personal televisions are not permitted but we have televisions on site for use during non-programming times. Video games are not permitted or any device that is blue tooth capable. Musical instruments are allowed during certain times as long as they don’t disrupt others.

EOSIS Meadow Creek is a women’s treatment facility and pregnant females are welcome. It’s best to discuss your situation with our admissions team to understand the options available for pregnant women seeking treatment.

EOSIS Meadow Creek provides the opportunity to work on earning your GED. Include your educational goals in your discussion with your counselor so we can help coordinate resources.

EOSIS Meadow Creek offers family education on Tuesday nights at 6 pm where you join your loved one to learn how addiction affects the family. This time fosters understanding and support as well as providing insights on how to move forward in recovery.

All over the counter medications need a provider order in order to be administered. On-site provider can assist with an order and may take up to 72 hours to obtain. These medications are not covered by insurance and you may be asked to pay out of pocket for them. Vitamins can be brought in but must be unopened/sealed. Supplements need to be approved by our medical provider.

We allow service animals with the appropriate paperwork. Animal support animals are not allowed.

EOSIS Meadow Creek is Methadone-friendly for those with an existing medication assisted treatment provider and a stable dose. We are not able to daily dose or initiate patients on to Methadone.

We provide medication assisted treatments to ease the discomfort of withdrawal and to ease cravings. If you are medically compromised, we may have you detox at one of our Gateway Recovery centers before coming to treatment. That will be determined during your intake process.

What to Expect Once You're Here

Yes. Visiting is on Tuesday from 7-8:30 pm and again on the weekend on Saturday or Sunday from 12:30 – 3 pm. For family members that can’t travel to the facility we can arrange for a virtual meeting on the weekend.

Yes. EOSIS offers co-occurring mental health services provided by a MN Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.

Generally, you can leave campus for things like court appearances, medical appointments or family funerals. As you progress in your recovery, you’ll have the opportunity to attend off-site Twelve Step meetings or church or to pick up items from a local store. You choose whether you want to participate.

 

You can bring your own snacks but we offer snacks as well. There are also vending machines and coffee available.

Yes, and detergent is provided.

Our meals are prepared on-site. 3 meals per day plus an evening snack are provided. We are able to accommodate most dietary restrictions. Our on-site chefs will be notified of any restrictions you may have.

Groups and individual sessions are about an hour. You will see your counselor for an individual session at least once a week. You will have 30 hours of clinical programming a week while in the high-intensity residential program and then transition to 15 hours a week once you are in the low-intensity residential program.

There’s basketball, volleyball, corn hole/bags, badminton, walking, running, and an indoor exercise room. And there are games, puzzles, crafts, campfires, and the occasional water balloon fight and dance party.

Generally, there are 2 people in each room. We will work with you to accommodate any unique situations. The facility is designed to foster community and support during recovery, so private rooms are not offered.

You may have appointments for individual therapy or continuing care once you are discharged. We will connect you with the appropriate community resource to continue your recovery journey.
