Coming to addiction treatment can be a tough and often overwhelming decision, and it’s natural to feel uncertain about what lies ahead. We want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this process alone. Our team is here to answer any questions you may have and to provide clear, compassionate guidance about what you can expect from treatment. To make things easier, we’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions and answers, giving you helpful information up front and helping ease some of the unknowns. From the first phone call to your arrival and throughout your stay, we’ll walk with you every step of the way, ensuring you feel supported, informed, and reassured as you take this important step toward healing.

Preparing to Come to Treatment

Yes. Personal electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, music players, and blue tooth headphones are allowed. Personal wearable devices such as smart rings, smart watches, smart glasses, and other similar devices are not permitted without a doctor’s order. Use is permitted but limited under certain circumstances.

Yes. EOSIS New Beginnings has designated smoking areas. You can smoke between group hours as well as before or after daily group hours. Smoking is not allowed overnight during curfew hours. Vaping is permitted but only a limited amount of non-fillable, non-rechargeable, disposable vapes are allowed.

Yes. We want everyone to feel safe and free from substances so items may need to be searched. The mailing address is: 109 N Shore Dr, Waverly, MN 55390.

Personal TVs and video games are not allowed. There are several televisions throughout the building that patients can use during downtime. You can bring small hand-held musical instruments, which may be used during downtime and only in ways that do not disturb others. 

You should bring a 30-day supply of any current medications, in their original containers. If you do not have enough on hand, please visit your doctor or pharmacist in advance to get your prescriptions filled. Please note that you will be responsible for all medication costs; Rule 25 without M.A. does not cover medications.

We allow service animals with the appropriate paperwork. Animal support animals are not allowed.

We provide medication assisted treatments to ease the discomfort of withdrawal and to ease cravings. If you are medically compromised, we may have you detox at one of our Gateway Recovery centers before coming to treatment. That will be determined during your intake process.

What to Expect Once You're Here

Yes. Visiting hours are Sunday from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Visitors are limited to family/significant others only (unless approved by counselor). Underage visitors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will be allowed visitors at all reasonable times from your personal physicians, religious advisor, county case manager, parole or probation officer, and attorney. Your right to receive visitors other than a personal physician, religious advisor, county case manager, parole or probation officer, or attorney may be subject to reasonable written visiting rules and hours established.

Yes. EOSIS offers co-occurring mental health services provided by a MN Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.

You can be transported off site by staff at any time for urgent or emergency medical conditions. You can attend off-site Twelve Step meetings by earning privileges. Those who are eligible are taken at specific times to visit the ATM and/or tobacco store. If you wish to attend church, virtual options are provided.

 

You can bring in a small amount of snacks that are non-perishable and in unopened packaging. We will have coffee and snacks available for you as well. There are vending machines on-site as well.

You can order items from Amazon or have family bring you items. You can go to a local store after completing a portion of your treatment with staff approval.

Three meals per day plus snacks are provided through the food service program. Special diets are honored as able, including those for medical needs and/or religious reasons.

Groups and individual sessions are about an hour. You will see your counselor for an individual session at least once a week. 

During the summer months there’s fishing, volleyball, softball, kickball, frisbee golf, shuffleboard, horseshoes, yard games and walks. In the winter, there’s a weight room, ping pong, foosball, board games and crafts. For those that want to fish, you can bring your own gear. We have a group license to fish so you do not need to purchase your own license.

Laundry machines are available, and detergents/fabric softeners are provided. You do your own laundry.

Each room has either two or three people. Rooms are assigned at admission and will take into consideration various factors which can be discussed at the time of admission.

You may have appointments for individual therapy or continuing care once you are discharged. We will connect you with the appropriate community resource to continue your recovery journey.
