Coming to addiction treatment can be a tough and often overwhelming decision, and it’s natural to feel uncertain about what lies ahead. We want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this process alone. Our team is here to answer any questions you may have and to provide clear, compassionate guidance about what you can expect from treatment. To make things easier, we’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions and answers, giving you helpful information up front and helping ease some of the unknowns. From the first phone call to your arrival and throughout your stay, we’ll walk with you every step of the way, ensuring you feel supported, informed, and reassured as you take this important step toward healing.

Preparing to Come to Treatment

Yes. Personal electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, music players, and blue tooth headphones are allowed. Personal wearable devices such as smart rings, smart watches, smart glasses, and other similar devices are not permitted without a doctor’s order. Use is permitted but limited under certain circumstances.

Yes. EOSIS Twin Town has designated smoking areas. You can smoke between group hours as well as before or after daily group hours. Smoking is not allowed overnight during curfew hours. Vaping is permitted but only a limited amount of non-fillable, non-rechargeable, disposable vapes are allowed.

Yes. We want everyone to feel safe and free from substances so items may need to be searched. The mailing address is: 1706 University Ave W, St Paul, MN 55104.

We allow service animals with the appropriate paperwork. Animal support animals are not allowed.

We provide medication assisted treatments to ease the discomfort of withdrawal and to ease cravings. If you are medically compromised, we may have you detox at one of our Gateway Recovery centers before coming to treatment. That will be determined during your intake process.

What to Expect Once You're Here

Yes. Visitation is on Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 – 4 p.m.

Yes. EOSIS offers co-occurring mental health services provided by a MN Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.

Yes, with staff supervision. You’ll work with your counselor to determine what’s appropriate. Examples include funeral services or legal appointments. There’s also an opportunity to go to off-site Twelve Steps meetings or occasional sober events.

 

Snacks will be provided but you can bring your own non-perishable snacks that are small enough to fit in your room locker. There are also 2 vending machines and 3 vending machines with cold drinks. Diabetics can get their diabetic snacks from nursing staff. Any other dietary needs are determined by the nursing staff upon admission.

Yes, and laundry detergent is provided.

Breakfast is at 7 am, lunch is at noon and dinner is at 4:30 pm. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Groups and individual sessions are about an hour. You will see your counselor for an individual session at least once a week. You will have 30 hours of clinical programming a week while in the high-intensity residential program and then transition to 15 hours a week once you are in the low-intensity residential program.

We have corn hole/bags, basketball, volleyball, walks, and a weight room.

At EOSIS Twin Town we have 2 three-person rooms and 3 single-person rooms and 20 two-person rooms. Rooms are assigned case by case. Medical concerns may be a determining factor. You can bring your own bedding as long as they’re new.

You may have appointments for individual therapy or continuing care once you are discharged. We will connect you with the appropriate community resource to continue your recovery journey.
